Sudoku Puzzle Using A Ballpen

20336345811_4f76cfe7fa_kSudoku is one of my favorite pastimes when I have nothing else to do. When I mean nothing else, I really mean the type when you just don't know what to do. Well, I have only been recently hooked with it. I usually play it using pencil since I erase a lot and make so many mistakes. But, a time came when I was on a boat bound for home, I brought along my trusty Sudoku booklet with me but forgot to bring my trusty pencil. My bag luckily had a ballpen, a cheap P5.00 ballpen which was there ever since my last days in college. So, I had no choice but to use it.

It suddenly occurred to me that if I started to answer the puzzle, I would not be able to erase what I had answered since, well, I can' t. I was afraid to answer it since if I would make a mistake, I will make a total mess and it would be dirty. So I ended up not answering the puzzle at all.

Then I soon realized while I was drinking milk on the boat's outside balcony, that life can sometimes be like playing sudoku using ballpen. We are given opportunities to excel in the puzzle of life but because we are afraid of making a mess out of it, we don't grab it. We have our time to shine but because we are scared of blowing it, we shy away from it. I for one have had opportunities just pass me by. I was afraid of screwing-up that I did not see the good things of that opportunity. So I just procrastinated, but, the truth is I was afraid of blowing it. I ended up not doing it.

I just pray that with every opportunity I have, I would not shy away from it ever again. I don't want to say "how I wish I had" anymore. Stand strong and keep the faith.

Ephesians 5:15-17

15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lordʼs will is.
