You’re Here To Learn

School is a very humbling experience. I pressure myself to be an honor student. But the Father keeps reminding me, “Just give your best for Me.” He reminds me, whenever apprehension sets in, that my purpose in school is to learn. He reminds me that oftentimes I’m so intent on graduating and proudly walking down the stage with my toga (and hopefully medals) that I forget that my real goal is to learn. The diploma and medals is just a by-product of my everyday learning. Graduation day is merely the culmination.

“Alysia,” He patiently tells me, “If your eyes are so set on achieving high grades, then you’ve lost sight of your goal. You’re here to learn, not earn bragging rights.”

How true…
